Biointensive agriculture in the South Shore
Greenway Farm is a biointensive farm in Kingston, MA. Our farm’s focus is to produce an excellent product- currently microgreens and specialty salad greens for restaurants, primarily. Our operation, located on a wind farm and using primarily renewable electricity, employs sustainable practices such as integrated pest management, minimal tillage, cover cropping and vermicomposting. We use an aquaponics system to grow our microgreens, the roots of which are then composted to greatly increase the organic matter content of our soil. We will eventually sell fish through this system as well.
Our farm currently supplies the following restaurants:
Leena’s Kitchen– 63 Long Pond Rd, Plymouth MA
Liquid Art House– 100 Arlington st., Boston MA
Patrizia’s– 170 Water st., Plymouth MA
Rye Tavern– 517 Old Sandwich Road, Plymouth MA
The Tasty– 42 Court St, Plymouth MA
